doctor just called (me at work while i was on another call). she left a message that says: the results of the first half of your sequential screening (this thing they do if you are of advanced maternal age, like me, to determine if you should proceed with additional testing to rule out birth defects) are in and everything looks fine. the baby looks normal.
i have a feeling that when "the baby" has an identifiable gender (two weeks and counting), i'll feel more comfortable with the designation. not sure why that matters, but i think it might feel a little closer to a real person (as opposed to an alien that has taken over my body) if it had a name. and we're not going to name her Pat, so this will just have to wait.
(doing much better now that meds are back on board, btw) back to work...!
