The Ace Hotel - rooms blocked

We've blocked a lovely set of rooms for our anticipated out-of-town guests, Friday July 10 to Sunday July 12 at Ace Hotel Seattle. In keeping with the theme of our times, the Ace is a simple but elegant space that won't break the budget. In fact, we'd normally like to stay there ourselves. It's small (no restaurant or bar), basic (minimalist design), but well-appointed (beautifully done). It's across the street from Macrina, one of our favorite bakeries, and just down the street from Black Bottle, where we'll host our rehearsal dinner (more on that later), not to mention, it's not far from the house or the venue.

The cost is $100 - $200 per night, depending on your choice of room. We have 12 rooms blocked (mix of deluxe and standard rooms), based on our estimates of who will need them. Please reserve yours before June 1 by calling 206.448.4721 and let them know that you're with the Hill/Briggs wedding party. Rooms will be released after this date - so don't delay!

If you're wondering if this is the hotel for you: it may help to know that we are staying the weekend there and we'll be hosting an "after-party" in several of the adjoined rooms after the big event. You're invited, of course, but staying up all night to talk about how cute we looked all evening may not be your bag. If so, we understand and are happy to help find another accommodation - just let us know.

For the self-service inclined: if you try the website, you may be able to make your own reservations, leaving a comment about your party. The website may, however, show these dates to be unavailable due to the number of rooms we already booked.

Speaking of service, a note on accessibility: the Ace does not have an elevator, sadly, and is only accessible via a number of stairways. This may be difficult for people with lots of stuff, lots of kids, or lots of trouble with stairs for whatever reason. Again, let us know if we can help.
